Blackhawk Foundry has produced quality iron castings since 1920 Blackhawk Foundry was originally a division of Voss Manufacturing Company that produced and sold appliances. In 1954, Mr. Ben Butterworth became the owner and President of the company. During his tenure, the volume of the business grew four-fold. Following his death in 1968, the foundry was purchased by then Vice President Jim R. Grafton Sr. who immediately started a modernization program. His son Jim Grafton Jr. became President and COO in 1990 and in 1998, Jim Jr. became the owner. The Grafton family has multiplied the business volume dramatically with quality customers in manufacturing, agriculture and construction, producing castings for products such as electrical motors, diesel engines, engine components, conveyor systems, valves and pumps. Today, Blackhawk Foundry continues to grow, meet and exceed customer expectations by working with them to improve casting designs resulting in cost effective methods and high quality products.
